April 27: (Aspen Suites Hotel, D) Arrive in Juneau, taxi to hotel and check into Aspen Suites hotel, dinner and reception at 6:30pm.

April 28: (Tenakee Springs Lodge, B, L & D) Take ferry to Tenakee Springs. Have Breakfast and lunch on ferry. Practicing sketches on board. Upon arriving check into the lodge.

April 29: (Tenakee Springs Lodge, B, L & D) Sketch the local scenery.

April 30: (Sitka Fine Arts Camp faculty housing, B, L & D) Sketch in Tenakee at the morning. After lunch take float plane flight to Sitka. Sketch outdoor when time allowed or sketch in Fine Arts Camp art room.

May 1: (Sitka Fine Arts Camp faculty housing, B, L & D) Take Allen Marine Cruise aboard St Anastasia to St. Lazaria Island. Sketch on board.

May 2: (Sitka Fine Arts Camp faculty housing, B, L & D) Sketch in Sitka outdoor or in the Fine Arts Camp art room.

May 3: (B & L) Paint at camp & have final critique. Take ferry to back to Juneau.

Note:
1. B – breakfast, L – lunch, D – dinner.
2. Activities available in Sitka not including in the tour fee: touring the Raptor Rehabilitation Center, Fortress of the Bears, the Sheldon Jackson College Museum, dance programs by the Russian Dancer troupe and by the Native dance group as well as tours of the Russian Orthodox church and the Russian Bishops’ House. There are demonstrations of various native arts such as carving, silver work, and weaving, and there are shops that sell beautiful local native art work. Numerous hiking trails of varying difficulty are close to town and some are handicap accessible, there is kayaking (pretty cold this time of year, but doable,) bike rentals, and tour boating as well as charter fishing. There are yoga studios and massage therapists. The prices vary for all these activities.

2. Sketches: watercolor on watercolor paper and/or block; Chinese sketch on accordian book made of thick rice paper. Painting material list will be avaliable 2 months before the trip. Chinese painting materials (accordion book, ink and brushes) are included in the fee.
